Welcome to R McMahon SMB dive reel site.

We are predominantly a family run Engineering company based in the heart of the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire for the past 36 years.

We designed our dive reels back in the early 1980's, and have successfully been selling them the length and breadth of Britain, Europe and further a field since that time.

The design of our dive reels is BSI 9001; 2008 approved and we also stock all spare parts for our reels, for repair if required.

Whether you are a novice diver or an experienced speciality diver, you will have probably used a reel at some point during a dive.

When used with care our dive reels can be an extremely useful and essential diving apparatus, and should never be used carelessly always remember our dive reels are an aid to safe diving and not a safety aid.

Our reels serve many roles, the open water diver can use one as a guide back to the shot line, and they can be used during searches, to tow a surface marker buoy (smb) or to send up a delayed SMB. For a diver exploring a cave, a wreck or diving under ice, they are quite literally a lifeline.
