McMahon Compact Backplate is made from ABS plastics which is moulded by specialists on our behalf. Its design is a little different to its larger brother in that the line guide is moulded into the backplate, which also has a stainless steel bobbin for the line to flow through, and be wound neatly back onto. If a replacement backplate is required we will automatically send you the assembly components for that attachment, with your backplate. The backplate can be easily replaced on your McMahon reel if you are misfortunate to break it. All parts can be purchased from McMahon Engineering Ltd, Gloucestershire, England.
