The reel is extremely easy to use, and robust when used correctly. This reel can be easily maintained, and all spare parts for this reel can be purchased from McMahon Engineering Ltd, Gloucestershire. The reel itself can be stowed away during a dive and used to send a delayed smb to the surface, and can be used on wreck dives. The main parts of the reel are made from polypropylene material and ABS plastic and fixed together with marine quality stainless steel axle bolts and A4 stainless steel fixings. The dyneema line is a 16 plait multifilament polyester, with a dyneema core running through it. The diameter of the dyneema is 1.4mm with a tensile strength of 530 Newtons, 54kg.
